Three from three for Expert Eye's US runners

Three-year-old Expert Eye filly Violet Gibson became her sire's third winner in the US from as many runners, striking on debut at Gulfstream Park on Saturday (11th March).

Taken from the Thoroughbred Daily News, 12th March 2023:

Violet Gibson's rookie start at 5-1 saw her save ground along the fence as she took up a position mid-pack while Just On Time showed the way down the backstretch. Facing a wall of horses that were contesting for the lead around the final turn, the Saffie Joseph trainee got underway to the outside past the eighth pole and under strong urging was up in time to win by a head over Le Beau. Second dam Houdini's Honey is connected to a pair of full siblings in French multiple Gr.1 winners Coup De Genie and Machiavellian. The winner's dam (Soul Of Houdini) most recently recorded a yearling filly by Bated
Breath.

The following day, Beautifulnavigator, a winning filly also by Expert Eye, earned her first blacktype at Fair Grounds coming a close second in the Allen Black Cat LaCombe Memorial Stakes.
