The pair dominated the race throughout, with Ryan Moore setting the pace aboard the blinkered Tabiti and Saqqara Sands placed just behind by Rossa Ryan.
While the latter, who was the lesser-fancied runner of the pair, lunged to put her head in front in the stride before the line, her head was up at the wrong time which resulted in a pause while the judge assessed the photo-finish.
It was announced the duo would share the verdict, with Beckett celebrating a unique first win in the race. "I've definitely not been in a dead-heat with two of mine," the trainer said. "William Easterby told me that his dad had two horses dead-heat at Pontefract about ten years ago. They're two tough fillies and I think we got our tactics right for once. It's brilliant. I'm absolutely thrilled."
"Tabiti looked like she was going west on us and I wasn't overjoyed with her run in the Fillies' Mile last year. She didn't show up early on this season, but the blinkers have made the difference. The other filly was just very tough."
