Frankel double at Sandown Park

Mostahdaf and Westover dominated both Group 3's for sire Frankel who reaches 90 stakes winners worldwide.

Mostahdaf, becomes a dual Group 3 winner in the Gordon Richards Stakes. Trained by John & Thady Gosden, achieved his second Gr.3 success at Sandown Park on Friday 22nd April. He is now 6 from 7 for owner Shadwell Racing (Hissa Hamdan) after a 195 day break, and rated 114. He becomes Frankel’s sixth stakes winner in Europe this year. Frankel is the leading sire of European stakes winners with double the amount of his nearest rival.

This was followed up by Westover in the Gr.3 Classic Trial, powering on through to deny the fast-finishing Cash. Westover is Frankel's fifth European 3yo stakes winner, over double that of his nearest rival and makes him leading sire of 3yos in Europe.
