Kingman's 50th stakes winner as Habana strikes at Baden-Baden

Gestüt Fährhof's homebred two-year-old Kingman filly Habana became her sire's 50th stakes winner and 30th Group winner with victory in the Gr.3 Zukunfts-Rennen at Baden-Baden today.

Taken from the Thoroughbred Daily News, 31st August 2022, by Tom Frary:

Habana was labelled a TDN 'Rising Star' following her emphatic winning debut at Cologne on 10th July. The Gestüt Fährhof homebred justified all the hype with an impressive follow-up in the Gr.3 Zukunfts-Rennen at Baden-Baden. Held up in last early by a confident Eduardo Pedroza, the Andreas Wöhler-trained favourite was unleashed turning for home. Her sustained effort saw her take command passing the furlong pole en route to a two-length success from See Paris.

Habana, who holds an entry in the Gr.1 Prix Marcel Boussac, becomes the 50th stakes winner and 30th Group winner for her sire and is the second foal out of Gr.3 Premio Primi Passi heroine Hargeisa.
