Kingman filly remains unbeaten and records a first Group success

Christopher Head’s promising two-year-old Green Spirit (Kingman) remained unbeaten and dug deep to clinch yesterday’s Gr.3 Prix Six Perfections at Clairefontaine yesterday (3rd August).

Taken from the European Bloodstock News, 4th August 2025:

Wertheimer and Frere’s homebred winning daughter of Kingman showed great toughness and a willing attitude to run down the Donnacha O’Brien-trained Balantina, an Irish challenger who attempted to make all during the 1400m contest. Francis-Henri Graffard’s Narissa, who settled towards the rear for much of the race, ran on to finish third.

The two-year-old is now unbeaten from three starts. She secured a winning debut over 1200m at Saint-Cloud in May, then strode towards a length and a half success at the same venue late last month, and holds and entry in the Gr.1 Prix Marcel Boussac. She is a half-sister to the Gr.3 Prix Bertrant du Breuil and Gr.3 Prix des Chenes winner Ecrivain (Lope De Vega), out of the Danehill Dancer mare Sapphire Pendant, who won once as a three-year-old and was runner-up in the Gr.3 1,000 Guineas Trial.
