Hotheaded wins the Listed Prix Michel Houyvet
Three-year-old Frankel colt, Hotheaded, claimed his first blacktype win with a comfortable three and a half length margin at Deauville on Saturday (9th August).
Taken from the European Bloodstock News, 10th August 2025:
Having initially raced towards the back of the pack, it was not long before Hotheaded moved around his rivals to hit the front, staying there to win yesterday’s Prix Michel Houyvet by three and a half lengths. Victory saw the Andre Fabre charge, bred by Godolphin and who sporting its silks, secure a Listed win on what was only his third start, having been unraced as a two-year-old.
The colt left Christophe Ferland’s Zingaro (Kingman) to fill runner-up spot, with Fabre stablemate Allure returning half a length further back in third. A full-brother to the dual winner and Gr.3 Pride Stakes runner-up Veil Of Shadows, he is also a half-brother to the Gr.3 Prix Messidor victor Impulsif and the unraced dam of the multiple Gr.1 hero Los Angeles.
