Frankel colt exhibits his class in Group 2 Beresford

Two-year-old Noble Exhibit (Frankel) followed up a wide-margin maiden victory at Punchestown with a straightforward front-running win in the Gr.2 Beresford Stakes over a mile at the Curragh on Saturday.

Taken from the European Bloodstock News, 27th September 2026:

The Aidan O’Brien-trained two-year-old colt was sent straight to the lead by jockey Wayne Lordan and was able to dictate steady fractions on the front end. City Of Dubai raced in second and tried to apply pressure to the leader around three furlongs from the finish, but Noble Exhibit had plenty more in the tank and kept pulling out more on his way to winning by a length and a quarter. City Of Dubai kept on resolutely for second, a length and a half ahead of Drumbeat in third.

Noble Exhibit holds an entry for the Gr.1 Futurity Trophy Stakes at Doncaster next month and is quoted at a general 25/1 for next year’s Gr.1 Derby.

Stable representative Chris Armstrong said: “He did the exact same in Punchestown as he did here. He’s a horse that is well able to bowl along at a solid tempo, and when Wayne got him balanced after turning in, he just gradually picked up. From the two down to the one, when he really asked him to quicken, he really did drop down and lengthen. He went out through the line well. He’s a horse that is progressing very quickly with each run."

“Now he goes into the mix with the others for the Futurity Trophy and the races in France at the backend. He’s really one to look forward to for next year. He’s really starting to put everything together.”
