Expert Eye 2YOs average €185,000 at Arqana Breeze Up

The three Expert Eye two-year-olds offered at Arqana Breeze Up on Friday all sold well for their consignors, averaging €185,000.

Heading the list was Lot 49, a filly out of Oasis Dream mare Queen's Charter, a half-sister Gr.1 Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf winner Queen's Trust. Consigned by Willie Browne's Mocklershill Stables, the filly was purchased by agent Federico Barberini and Apple Tree Stud for €240,000.

A pair of Expert Eye colts also made a healthy return for their consignors. Lot 43, a colt out of former Juddmonte mare Popular, went to Blandford Bloodstock for €160,000. Purchased as a yearling for €50,000 he was a successful pinhook for his owners.

Lot 121, was the final Expert Eye two-year-old to pass through the Arqana ring, making €155,000. Consigned by Glending Stables he was purchased by RPG Bloodstock and Ian Williams.
