Evergreen Oasis Dream sires new stakes-winning juvenile
Juddmonte’s homebred filly Better Together (Oasis Dream) had to be tenacious to win the 1400m Listed Prix Zeddaan at Deauville for two-year-olds yesterday for Andre Fabre carrying the silks of
her breeder.

She broke well and was reined back to race mid-division under Alexis Pouchin. Niggled along to hold her position, Pouchin was the first to ask for maximum effort and had a willing partner, with Better Together determinedly sticking her neck out to reel in Too Darn Hot’s Rogue Sensation by half a length, who had travelled sweetly into contention just in front of the winner throughout the contest. The pacesetter Scapecity (City Light) faded late but held on for third, a further head behind. The winner had come second on debut in July over 1200m at Deauville on turf and followed up over the same course and distance next time out to shed her maiden tag. Victory yesterday brought her record to an impressive two wins from three starts.
She is a half-sister to the Gr.3 Prix des Reservoirs and Gr.3 Athenia Stakes winner Pocket Square (Night Of Thunder), the Listed Chester Stakes winner Yesyes (Camelot) and a full-sister to the
Gr.2 May Hill Stakes third Sandshare. They are out of the Listedplaced Shared Account (Dansili), a half-sister to the Gr.2 winner Kalabar (Kahyasi) and a full-sister to the Gr.1 Grand Prix de Paris winner and sire Zambezi Sun and the Listed Prix Petite Etoile winner Zero Gravity, dam of the Gr.1 British Champions Fillies and Mares Stakes heroine Kalpana (Study Of Man).
