Eternal Pearl swoops for Newmarket success

Frankel filly Eternal Pearl continued her progression, winning her third stakes race in succession, the Gr.3 Princess Royal Stakes at Newmarket today.

Godolphin's three-year-old Eternal Pearl has gone from strength to strength since grappling with Sea Silk Road in Goodwood's Listed Height Of Fashion Stakes (20th May) and has remained upwardly mobile with an impressive tally culminating in the Gr.3 Princess Royal Stakes at Newmarket.

The Listed Aphrodite Fillies' Stakes and Gr.3 Prix Minerve victrix broke from the gates as the 6-4 favourite and employed patient tactics in the rear through the midway point of this 12 furlong launchpad. Sent forward inside the last half mile, she quickened in style to initiate her pursuit of Peripatetic approaching the final furlong and bounded beyond that rival on the climb to the line for a three-quarter length success.
