Aga Khan homebred Silmaniya is another winner for Expert Eye

Expert Eye filly Silmaniya out-battled Polar Queen to break her maiden at Navan on Saturday, becoming the 12th winner for her first crop sire.

Taken from The European Bloodstock News, 4th September 2022:

Silmaniya was delivered with a well-timed challenge to get up in the dying strides. She was getting off the mark at the fifth attempt, having finished third on her debut at this track in May and second in three subsequent starts.

Trainer Johnny Murtagh commented: "I thought it was a perfect race. Silmaniya had been running in maidens and was just getting there too soon. She's a filly with a lot of ability. You couldn't question her attitude there, it got tough and she dug down. It was a good performance."

She is a half-sister to the Gr.3 Ballyogan Stakes heroine and Gr.1 Flying Five Stakes third Sonaiyla, the dual winner Sindhia and the winner Silaiyli. They are the four winners to date out of the Curragh maiden winner Sinaniya (More Than Ready), who is a sibling of the French Listed winner Sirrin and the Gr.3-placed dual winner Sinkal.
Sinndar (Grand Lodge).
