Easter Sunday saw Nano Nagle become a new stakes winner for Frankel in Berlin, closely followed by Jannah Rose in the Gr.3 Prix Vanteaux at ParisLongchamp.

Four-year-old Frankel filly Nano Nagle had already gained blacktype on her page before Sunday with a couple of third place efforts in Listed competitions in France last season. gained her first stakes win with an assured performance in the Listed Preis des Gestüt Lünzen at Berlin-Hoppegarten, winning by three-quarters of a length for trainer Henri-Alex Pantall.

Just a few hours later, light-raced Jannah Rose (also by Frankel) took her first Group-level honours at ParisLongchamp in the Gr.3 Prix Vanteaux. Off the mark in professional if not flashy fashion over a mile at Chantilly in September, the Carlos LaffonParias-trained half-sister to the G2 Lanwades Stud Stakes winner Creggs Pipes was nevertheless not missed in the market as the 5-2 second favourite for the nine furlong test.

Racing under early restraint early from Christophe Soumillon with one behind, the bay who was a €650,000 Goffs Orby purchase made her move wide in early straight and struck the front 300 metres out en route to a comfortable one and three-quarter length success from Sea The Lady.

"She is a very nice filly and considering what she does in the mornings, it was not a problem for me to run her in this Group race on only her second career start," Laffon Parias explained.

"She has the speed for a race like the [Gr.3] Prix de la Grotte next week, but I made the choice of this one thinking that it would be easier. She settled well in a race with a good rhythm and showed us all her quality in the straight. Now it looks like the [Gr.1 Prix] Saint Alary and the [Gr.1 Prix de] Diane, but an alternative is the [Gr.1] Poule d'Essai [des Pouliches] and the Diane."
