40th stakes winner this year for Frankel

Juddmonte homebred filly Ardent earner her first stakes win in the Listed Prix Petite Etoile at Deauville today, becoming Frankel's 40th stakes winner this year.

She is the fifth foal from Empire Maker mare Emollient and counts three blacktype performers as her siblings, most notably full sister Group 2 Prix de Malleret winner Raclette - who was also trained by André Fabre.

Included in Frankel's 40 stakes winners in 2023 are 11 Group 1 winners, more than any other NorthernHemisphere-based stallion
