Juddmonte’s fresh recruit for the 2024 season, CHALDEAN got off to an excellent start covering 173 mares in the Northern Hemisphere. Of his first book of mares, 99 are blacktype performers or producers and he covered more Group winners, stakes winners and blacktype performers than all other first season sires in GB and Ireland. His impressive physique, precocity, and Classic credentials attracted many of the most astute commercial breeders in the business. We look forward to welcoming him back to Banstead Manor Stud following the Southern Hemisphere season at Cambridge Stud, New Zealand.

Following on from the title of Champion Sire in 2021 and 2023, the phenomenal FRANKEL amassed 24 individual blacktype winners in 2024 of which 15 are Group winners, including exciting Group-winning two-year-olds - Lake Victoria – Timeform’s highest-rated two-year-old filly, Bedtime Story, and Exactly. In the sales ring, Frankel achieved a personal best with a 2024 yearling average of £760,240 for 30 sold. Across all European yearling sales, he is the leading sire by average as well as siring the highest-priced yearling of the year in the Northern Hemisphere and topping Tattersalls October and Goffs Orby Yearling Sales. Frankel has, in fact, sired the sales topper at Tattersalls Book 1 in all of the last three seasons.

A global sire in demand, KINGMAN enjoyed another extraordinary season consolidating his position as one of the Northern Hemisphere’s elite sires with two new Classic winners – Elmalka (Gr.1 1000 Guineas) and Sparkling Plenty (Gr.1 Prix de Diane) and a further Gr.1 Prix d’Opéra winner in Friendly Soul. He sired 18 individual stakes winners and 11 Group winners and is joint leading sire by Northern Hemisphere-bred Group 1-winning three-year-olds with Justify and Galileo (3). His fee remains at £125,000 1st Oct SLF, continuing to represent excellent value in this competitive price bracket.

Our own stalwart OASIS DREAM and a stallion with little to prove, concluded his 2024 season, and 20th breeding season with an impressive 93% fertility. Of those stallions still active in Britain, only Dubawi and Frankel have sired more Gr.1 winners and Group winners. He added to this list Gr.2 Vintage Stakes winner Aomori City in 2024. Adding yet another string to his bow, he is a highly regarded broodmare sire of over 180 blacktype performers with 58 of his daughters having produced Group winners including 15 Group 1 winners. We are pleased to maintain his fee of £15,000 1st Oct SLF which for a sire of over 200 stakes horses and the winners of 30 Group 1 races, represents outstanding value.

BATED BREATH continues to operate at an ever-reliable rate of 59% winners to runners with notable two-year-old winners such as Loch Tay, First Instinct and Hold A Dream to name but a few, who will continue to fly the flag in 2025. This consistency has again translated to the sales ring achieving another year of multiple six-figure yearlings. Bated Breath’s new fee of £8,000 1st Oct SLF offers the opportunity of big returns for the smaller breeder.
